CADE Aquariums Lids & Covers
Custom polycarbonate mesh lids for 6 CADE Aquariums models: FRAG 1500 S2/F, REEF 1200 S2, REEF 1500 S2, REEF 500 S2 (30 Gallon Display) and 2 more. Each lid is CNC-cut to the model's outer glass size from 3/8″ clear, shatterproof polycarbonate, with a mesh window for optimal gas exchange and light penetration, and a lip that sits inside the glass so it cannot slide. Each one works as a screen top and jump guard: fish stay in the tank while light and air pass through. These are all-in-one tanks, so the lid covers the display area and stops at the filter chamber wall. 5 lids are longer than 33 in and are cut as two panels that butt together at a seam. Add a feeding hole with a black or white cap, cutouts for hoses and wires, a feeding cup or a removable evaporation cover in the configurator, approve a digital proof, and it ships free to the contiguous US within about a week. CADE Reef S2 and Frag S2 tanks are rimless with a built-in rear overflow, so a lid has to cover the display glass and clear the overflow box and its plumbing. Our templates for the Reef 500, 600, 900, 1200 and 1500 S2 and the Frag 1500 S2/F do exactly that: the lid sits on a lip inside the front and side glass and ends at the overflow wall.
CADE tanks run long. The 500 S2 is a single-panel lid; the 600 and 900 are two panels; the 1200, 1500 and Frag 1500 are three panels that butt together at flat seams so any section can be lifted on its own. Each panel is 3/8-inch clear polycarbonate with a mesh window, and a feeding hole, cord cutouts and an ATO notch can be added in the configurator before you approve the proof.

Every lid is cut to its model's exact size from 3/8″ polycarbonate, a shatterproof plastic far tougher than glass or acrylic. Prices are for the lid alone; feeding holes, cutouts, cups and covers are added in the configurator.

CADE Aquariums Lid Questions
- Does the CADE lid cover the overflow box?
- No. The lid covers the display section and stops at the overflow wall, so the overflow lid, drains and return stay accessible. If you want a cover for the overflow area as well, build a second custom lid with those dimensions.
- Which CADE tanks are cut as more than one panel?
- The Reef 600 S2 and 900 S2 are two panels. The Reef 1200 S2, 1500 S2 and Frag 1500 S2/F are three panels. Panels sit edge to edge on the tank and can be removed individually.
- Do you have the CADE Reef 500 S2?
- Yes — the Reef 500 S2 30-gallon display is a single-panel lid and the smallest CADE template we offer.
- Will the lid work with the CADE light bar mount?
- The lid sits inside the glass below the rim, so bracket-style mounts that clamp the glass clear it. If your fixture hangs from a bar that crosses the glass, add a cutout where it lands; the proof shows the exact position.
