Red Sea Lid For: MAX E-260

This lid ships as two panels that butt together at the seam. Your tank has a rear overflow, so we recommend seam support standoffs — we'll include them and a note with your order.
Add a circular opening with a black or white cap for hand-feeding.

This lid is CNC-cut from 3/8″ clear polycarbonate to the outside size of the Red Sea MAX E-260's glass, with a lip that sits inside the glass so it cannot slide and a mesh window in the middle for optimal gas exchange and light penetration. It works as a screen top and jump guard: fish and invertebrates stay in the tank while light and air pass through. The MAX E-260 is an all-in-one tank, so the lid covers the display area and stops at the filter chamber wall. It is longer than one panel, so it is cut as 2 panels that butt together at a seam.
Add a feeding hole with a black or white cap, cutouts for hoses, wires and light mounts, a feeding cup or a removable evaporation cover in the configurator above. You approve a digital proof before anything is cut, and the lid ships free to the contiguous US, usually within a week. If it doesn't fit because of our error, we remake it at no charge.

Red Sea MAX E-260 Lid Questions
- Does the Red Sea MAX E-260 lid cover the filter chamber?
- No. It covers the display glass and stops at the rear filter chamber wall, so the factory chamber covers, pump and media stay as they are. If you want the chamber covered as well, build a custom lid from the tank's full outside dimensions.
- Is the Red Sea MAX E-260 lid one piece?
- No. The MAX E-260 is longer than one panel, so the lid is cut as 2 panels that butt together at a flat seam. Each panel has its own mesh window and lip, and you can lift one at a time to feed or scape.
- Does the lid come with a feeding hole?
- A capped feeding hole is an option in the configurator: choose a black or white cap and drag the hole to the corner you feed from. A feeding cup that holds food at the surface and a removable evaporation cover over the mesh are optional too.
- Will the lid work with my light?
- In most setups, yes. The lid sits inside the glass below the rim, where arm mounts and clip-on lights attach, and the mesh window passes the light. If a bracket, a hang-on filter or a cord crosses the glass, add a cutout for it in the configurator and it shows on your proof before we cut.
- How long does a Red Sea MAX E-260 lid take?
- You approve a digital proof first; the lid is then cut and ships free to the contiguous US, usually within a week of approval.
- What if the Red Sea MAX E-260 lid does not fit?
- Every catalog lid is guaranteed to fit the model it is listed for. If it does not fit because of our error, we remake it at no charge.
