Red Sea Lids & Covers
Custom polycarbonate mesh lids for 24 Red Sea models: Desktop Peninsula, MAX 130D, MAX E-170, MAX E-260 and 20 more. Each lid is CNC-cut to the model's outer glass size from 3/8″ clear, shatterproof polycarbonate, with a mesh window for optimal gas exchange and light penetration, and a lip that sits inside the glass so it cannot slide. Each one works as a screen top and jump guard: fish stay in the tank while light and air pass through. 10 of these are all-in-one tanks, so the lid covers the display area and stops at the filter chamber wall. 12 lids are longer than 33 in and are cut as two panels that butt together at a seam. Add a feeding hole with a black or white cap, cutouts for hoses and wires, a feeding cup or a removable evaporation cover in the configurator, approve a digital proof, and it ships free to the contiguous US within about a week. Red Sea Reefer tanks are rimless with a rear-corner overflow, and the generations differ slightly in glass size, so we keep separate templates for the older Reefer line and the G2 / G2+ / G3 — Reefer 170, 200, 250, 300, 350, 425, 525, 625 XXL and the 500 and 650 Peninsulas. The Max Nano G2 Cube, Peninsula, XL and XXL, the older Max Nano, Max E-170 and E-260, Max 130D and Desktop Peninsula are all-in-ones with their own templates.
A Reefer lid covers the display glass, sits on a lip inside the rim and clears the overflow box so the drains, return and overflow cover stay open. The Reefer 170 and 200 are single panels; the 250, 300 and 350 are two; the 425 and up are three panels that butt together at flat seams. Red Sea Lid Prices & Specifications
Every lid is cut to its model's exact size from 3/8″ polycarbonate, a shatterproof plastic far tougher than glass or acrylic. Prices are for the lid alone; feeding holes, cutouts, cups and covers are added in the configurator.

Red Sea Lid Questions
- Do I have a Reefer G2, G2+ or G3?
- The G2, G2+ and G3 share the same glass dimensions for a given size, so one template fits all three. Older (first-generation) Reefers are listed separately as "Older Gen" because their glass is different.
- Does the Reefer lid cover the overflow box?
- No. The lid stops at the overflow wall so the overflow cover, drains and return remain accessible.
- Which Red Sea lids are more than one panel?
- The Reefer 250, 300 and 350 are two panels. The older Reefer 450 is also two. The Reefer 425, 500 Peninsula, 525, 625 XXL and 650 Peninsula are three. The Max E-260 and Max Nano G2 XXL are two panels. Everything else is a single panel.
- Does the Max Nano G2 lid work with the ReefLED mount?
- Yes. The lid sits inside the glass below the rim, and the ReefLED arm clamps the back glass above it. Add a cutout if your light bracket crosses the glass.
- Can you make a lid for a Reefer wider than the ones listed?
- Our CNC bed is 22 inches wide, so tanks wider than that are reviewed by hand before we quote. Send a lid request with the model and we will confirm.
